Termessos Ancient City, one of the most successfully preserved ancient cities of Antalya, is located approximately 30 km from the city center. The city, which is 1150 meters above sea level, was founded on the summits of Güllük Mountain. Termessos Ancient City, which has a giant ancient theater, is one of the most important ancient cities not only in Turkey but also in the world.
There are many active excavations in the ancient city, which is thought to have been built by the Luwian and Solym civilizations. The artifacts obtained from the work done so far are exhibited in a special section of the Antalya Museum. You must pay a fee to enter the ancient city.
