Another very popular touristic area in Alanya is the Red Tower. It is thought that the tower, which is a very impressive Seljuk period structure, was built by I. Alaattin Keykubat in 1226. The tower, which reflects classical Seljuk architecture with its rectangular shape and is surrounded by 12.5-meter walls, is 33 meters high and creates a very magnificent image.
On the first floor of the tower is the Alanya Ethnography Museum. The Red Tower, which you can visit by paying an entrance fee, is becoming one of the favorite places for those who want to examine Antalya’s history more closely! To reach the top of the tower, you need to climb 85 stone steps.
